When you're booking during the colder months, sometimes you NEED to be inside. You might have a newborn, toddlers, or someone who cannot chance a new illness that could come with wind chill or lower temps.

If your session is rained out, and there is not an available evening or morning date that works for you, ask about a studio session!

Time of Day

I book outdoor sessions in the first hour of daylight or the last 2 hours before sunset. If this timeframe will not work for you, or you need to book something when my only availability is mornings and mid-day, indoor studio work might be the perfect fit!

Studio sessions can happen ANYTIME between my normal session times!

Themed Sessions

If you're looking to book a session that includes props, backdrops, and has a theme, indoor might be a great fit!

A studio session would ensure that props are not at the whim of wind, weather, or nature.

Cake Smashes, Birthday portraits, or even simple portraits can all benefit from being inside!

What Sessions can be in a Studio Space?

Studios are often too small for large groups.

I highly recommend only booking studio sessions for no more than 3-4 clients.

If you want to book a studio space for a larger family, we can make it work, however know that your large group photo(s) will require layering and will not likely allow for a single line of people shoulder to shoulder.

Want a Paper Backdrop?

Paper Portraits are some of my favorite sessions!!! I have a small variety of paper colors on hand AND paper can be purchased in ANY color. Ordering paper takes time, so please request a paper add on at least 2 weeks prior to your session.

If I have paper on hand, you are welcome to use the paper at no cost.
