Putting together the perfect portrait session for your baby includes a lot of decsions!


Here is a great breakdown of those decisions and what they look like in regards to what is needed and what it will cost.



The time of day will likely make or break our session with your little one!


Whatever time of day your child is in the best mood is the time we will want to utilize! This might need to be adjusted just a bit due to lighting needs, but we will try to catch that best window of energy for your child!

Studio sessions are best for Paper Portraits! If you're just wanting something cleaner than grass and trees, indoors is absolutely the way to go too though!


Studio costs range in price, however for Cake smashes and sitter sessions, I charge $100 and cover the additional cost of a 2 hour booking! This is simply because these sessions generally have a few additional costs and I know a little bit of savings is always welcome!


I have access to studios in West Plains AND Springfield!

 



Paper Portraits are some of my favorite sessions!!! I have a small variety of paper colors on hand AND paper can be purchased in ANY color.  Ordering paper takes time, so please request a paper add on at least 2 weeks prior to your session.


If I have paper on hand, you are welcome to use the paper at no cost.

To order a new color of paper costs $50.


Some studios even provide paper options at a cheaper price!!!


 

 

 

Katie creates the PERFECT balloon banners to add some shadow and contrast in the background of a paper session!

This was the first one I ever ordered, and I will be ordering them 2 feet longer from now on. lol


The cost for these is ABSOLUTELY worth it, esspecially if you don't want too many props (or ANY).

While your portrait session does NOT require treats... a "treat" smash is always such a fun addition to a baby's portaits!

A "cake" smash is truly about capturing something new or something your baby loves.



ALWAYS be sure to test out the food with your baby beforehand! It shouldn't be their first experience, in front of the camera!

your outfit(s) create the majority of your "vibe"!


What your baby wears will help create the feeling that everything is connected in your photos, from the backdrop to the props.


always look to find items that have texture or patterns!if you want a modern vibe, go with something that has text!
