Why book a session?

Our lives are constantly changing on us. We graduate school, find people to love, and welcome children into this world.
We often look back at time and question how things changed so fast.
ALWAYS book the session, because your life will change and your memories may fade, but the photos won't!

Communication is KEY in planning the perfect session to fit your hopes and needs. I prefer to communicate through email or Facebook, however I am also open to text if that is your easiest form of communication!
I am always open to meeting in person to discuss your session, make a payment, or even scout a location personal to you!

No matter how we communicate, know that I always work hard to respond in a timely manner!
I do not guarantee any response on weekends unless we have a session together that weekend, or early the following week. I have large events and weddings more often than not on saturdays, and sundays are set aside for me to spend time with my family.
If you need to get ahold of me immediatley, I recommend you send a message through my Facebook business page linked above. I tend to see those quicker than emails.
Frequently asked questions
What should we expect to do at our session?
I am striving to be a PROMPT Photographer. This means that I will provide you with things to do, say, or ways to pose so that you may feel more comfortable in front of the camera.
I will always come in with poses and prompt ideas, however I might allow you to sit in a pose for a minute, without any direction, to see your natural expressions and interactions! If those natural moments are awkward, then they're awkward!
How long should we expect to be at our session?
I do my best to use our time wisely.
My goal is anywhere from 45-90 minutes. It will always depend on how many people are in your session and how they cooperate.
Extended Families will likely take the full 90 minutes whereas smaller families or single portrait sessions might only take 45 minutes!
Why do I sign a contract?
Contracts are forms which allow the client and the photographer to be on the same page in regards to the session. There is nothing worse that thinking that you'd get one thing and then you get something else or something less than expected.
Contracts cover session fees, image counts included, cancellations, and everything in-between.
What is a Retainer?
A retainer is a payment made to "Claim" your session date and time. Without your retainer, your session is not guaranteed and can be offered to any other clients.
Retainers are non-refundable as time is money, and canceling a session means that I am likely missing an opportunity to host a session that pays for the education, gear, and supplies necessary for me to provide the services my clients deserve.
What is a "Turn Around Time"?
Turn around time is the time that can be expected to pass between the session date and the completed gallery being delivered.
Currently, I work at a 4-6 week turnaround! If I need more time to deliver a gallery I will always reach out to you before the 6 week deadline.
NOTE: A TAT is an estimate, not a guarantee, however it is RARE for me to not meet that TAT!
What if we have to reschedule?
Rescheduling is rarely an issue, even for weddings. If you have signed a contract, please look into your contract for specifics for this issue.
Most reschedules can be provided without an issue, however no date is guaranteed in a request to reschedule.
Bucket List shoots
Library & Love

I'd love to adventure to Springfield to photograph a couple in an old library or book store! You'd have to be very lovey-dovey and huge plus if you're a reader who'd feel at home in the stacks!
Art & Portraits

I've been ITCHING to go north and take portraits at the Nelson Atkins Musuem. I'm open to this being a senior session, Couples session, OR Family!
If I can, I'd love to schedule two sessions for a day even!
Biker/Skater Senior Portraits
My Insta feed is FULL of BMX, Racing, and Skate videos because my 8yr old thoroughly enjoys them... and if I'm being honest, I do too. lol
I think a senior session focusing on some speed and danger could be an absolute BLAST!
